Although the Pharmacy service does not have direct contact with the patient, it is of vital importance for any hospital, as it is the one that guarantees that the correct medicine reaches the correct patient at the correct time.

To achieve this, all prescriptions and treatments that our doctors make during the patient's admission must be validated by one of the two pharmacists that make up the service, who ensure that the type of medicine and the indicated dose are the most suitable for the pathology and condition of the patient.

To further secure the circuit, the Pharmacy service uses the latest technologies that, through a sophisticated barcode identification system associated with the patient's history, guarantee that the dose and treatment reaches the person who needs it at the right time and with the right dose.

The Pharmacy service at Asunción Klinika is made up of two pharmacists, three health technicians and one administrator. In addition to the dispensing of hospital medicine, the Pharmacy service also functions as a warehouse and supply centre for medical and hospital products, handling the negotiation and provision of stock.
