Pathological Anatomy

The Pathological Anatomy service is dedicated to analysing body tissues with the aim of providing essential information about the patient when treating them, performing surgery on them or after the surgery itself. It is responsible for the study of cellular lesions in tissues and organs, their structural and functional consequences and, therefore, their repercussions on the body.

The primary aim is the correct diagnosis of autopsies, biopsies, surgical specimens and cytology. For this reason, the Pathological Anatomy service is a transversal service that offers its knowledge to all other areas that may require an analysis of a particular tissue at any given time.
