Clinical Analysis

A clinical analysis or laboratory test is commonly called the complementary examination requested by a doctor from the clinical laboratory to confirm or rule out a diagnosis. It is part of the health care process that is based on the study of different biological samples through their analysis in a laboratory and that provides an objective result that can be either quantitative (a number, as in the case of the glucose figure) or qualitative (positive or negative).

The Clinical Analysis Laboratory of Asunción Klinika performs more than 1,200 determinations daily, of which 80% come from patients from Tolosaldea. The service, which operates 24 hours a day, is divided into three large areas: biochemistry, microbiology and hematology. It is made up of 14 people: three analysts, nine technicians who work in rotating shifts and two administrative staff.
