PATHOLOGICAL ANATOMY
The Pathological Anatomy service is dedicated to analysing the tissues of the body with the objective of supplying essential information about the patient when it comes to treating them, operating or after the operation itself. It is responsible for the study of cell lesions in tissues and organs, of its structural and functional consequences and, therefore, of the repercussions in the organism.
The primary aim is the correct diagnosis of autopsies, biopsies, surgical samples and cytologies. For this reason, the Pathological Anatomy service is a transversal service which offers its knowledge to all other areas that may require an analysis of a specific tissue at any time.
